Tim Holt

Tim Holt, DVM, cVMA

Tim received his Bachelor of Science from Fort Lewis College and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. He is a certified veterinary acupuncturist and veterinary manual therapist. Tim is a recipient of the 2013 Colorado Veterinary Medical Association Distinguished Service Award and of the 2018 Pioneer Award from the Beef Improvement Federation. His specialty is bovine High Mountain Disease, which can cause congestive heart failure in cattle raised at elevations above 5,000 feet. Tim played a pivotal role in the development and delivery of a veterinary test that predicts susceptibility to pulmonary hypertension, the underlying cause of High Mountain Disease, commonly called brisket disease. He performed his first pulmonary arterial pressure test in early 1980.
