Dr. Haussler’s refreshing blog proposes a paradigm shift towards a more multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to animal healthcare. During this Gathering, he presents the multiple challenges facing both veterinarians and non-veterinary practitioners in the effort to build and maintain effective care teams. He is joined by Michele Haman, Lola Michelin, and Laurie Edge-Hughes – spokespersons of three dynamic, North American, national non-veterinary practitioner organizations – who share how their organizations are addressing those challenges, how they are working to organize, educate, and credential practitioners with the aim of raising the standard of care, protecting patients, and building trust with veterinarians. Gatherings are 1.5-hour meetings including 30 minutes devoted to audience insights and experiences.
