One of the week’s highlights was the official launch of a new equine rehabilitation textbook entitled 𝑬𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒚, 𝑹𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒆, edited by Dr. Joao Paulo Marques. The textbook’s section editors are Dr. Haussler, Dr. Steve Adair, Dr. Hilary Clayton and Dr. Johann Maierl. Dr. Haussler edited the “Manual Therapy” section, which meant reviewing the chapters written by different authors on the topics of massage, passive range of motion, joint mobilization, chiropractic, and osteopathy. Dr. Haussler also authored the section entitled “Basics of Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics of the Axial Skeleton”.

Dr. Haussler has been an ACVSMR Charter Diplomate since 2010. He served as ACVSMR President in 2017-2018, and from 2009-2019, he held several other offices on the College’s Board of Directors and was active on several committees.
